REACTA stands for the Regional Asian Clinical Trial Association and is uniquely positioned with a diverse group of members from the countries in the Asian region which comprise those hospitals, academic medical centers and industries which perform a leadership role in implementing sound clinical study practices in furtherance of safe and effective medication in their respective country.
As the clinical study landscape continues to evolve, the members of REACTA strive to be responsive to the needs of their patients and community. Aiming at the advancement of medicine and human healthcare, the members desire to collaborate and be proactive in promoting and facilitating clinical research in such continuously evolving clinical research environment. To that end, our members are focused on developing three aspirations:
Leveraging on the expertise, capabilities and reputation of the members, REACTA aims to:
(i) become the leading clinical trial center network in Asia
(ii) create the drive and momentum for developing Asia into the best region for conducting clinical studies – in terms of ethics, quality, science and efficiency
(iii) establish a gateway connecting the members to other reputable clinical trial centers or networks in other regions. To draw global attention to the strong clinical research capabilities of the members and increase clinical research activities in Asia
The members are all leading clinical trial centers in their respective countries/regions, and each has its strengths and expertise on the ethical, regulatory and legal requirements in its country/region. REACTA aims to establish a common platform facilitating exchange of knowledge and expertise among the members, supporting all the members to expand their capabilities and to advance together in the dynamic international clinical research environment. REACTA’s support to research projects may include, strategy, regulatory affairs, intellectual property/patent development, pre-clinical, clinical development, financing, and post-marketing.
The members are focused on developing collaboration, and identifying and exploring the possibility of the multi-country, multi-site clinical study projects that could be jointly performed by the members. REACTA is a channel, a framework organization through which the members support the advance of common promising research projects that may derive benefits for the parties involved and ultimately for patients around the world. So REACTA aims to:
(i) create a network of leading clinical trial centers with comprehensive expertise in management of IISs
(ii) harmonize the core functions, procedures and practice of the members; making multinational IISs practically feasible.
